OLDYELLOW Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 i think birds need prevention from ailments but if ailments flair up then they need treating however if you get your managementy right and a prevention programme in order then i cant se why the old ways as you put then do ok as for natural pairing this is only good if have removed the doubtfull birds and ones that have made mistakes at end of racing and keep sprinters with sprinters ectra
Guest lvlasked Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 lol its ok i think ill be a fancier befor racing get like fantails polish shortfaces owls ect for the start then maybe just have 1 small racing team and stuff do you have the resgister your loft some where to get rings for it ect ?? need as much help as poss befor setting up
thunderboult Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 hi chris, i think in the long run people who resist the temptation to reach for antibiotics all the time will be the winner's. all our racer's pick their own mates i think this way birds will be happier and a happier bird will want to return more i think.
Guest lvlasked Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 i wudnt made racing long distances might be run haha and sounds good i thought that would be a good idea thunder longs my birds are happy i dont care if they win or not
Guest kev d Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 hi chris, in this day and age if your racing every week your birds are surely going to pick some thing up in the race basket so treating your birds is a must if you want them healthy and on top of there game . but you dont have to use antibiotics there is plenty of natural products on the market you can use but you have to use them over the course of the season to see the benifits of them if you can get your pigeons tested then you know for sure .
Guest lvlasked Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 this is ture but 1 i maybe young put id perfer not to use then and 2rd of all i dont think id race everyweek but natural products maybe to give them a boost to make sure they dont get out i may consider just think i might be a new comer to the sport for u lot but i think i might be a older timer in the loft lol
thunderboult Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 i wudnt made racing long distances might be run haha and sounds good i thought that would be a good idea thunder longs my birds are happy i dont care if they win or not hi chris, i did'nt mean winner's as in winning the races i ment a team of birds with natural resistance(if you know what i mean)
