PIGEON_MAN Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Any Unikon experts on at the moment, got a problem with allocating rings, have done hundreds before but cant sought this one out.
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 Alocated a members rings in the usual way but when I try to sync.the clock so that it shows on the computer that rings have been allocated doesn,t seem to transfer from clock to computer, printed a list from computer the rings I,m doing shows No ring assigned to them,so printed one off the base shows on there they are assigned.
Guest slugmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 sometimes our system gets a glitch I have transferred computer info onto another module then replaced it with original data then transfer module data onto computer or try transferring another flyers data onto computer then transfer original flyers data over this ALTHOUGH we use another system for figuring the racce so all the race calculations are done in another program so if you are using the unikon program to figure race results then I dont know if I would try this I think our system is a little diffrent here !!!

Alocated these rings last night but had problems so did another members had no problem with those went back to original member but still no joy just wondering if there might be a problem in the pocket clock.

Guest slugmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 once we had a member drop his module and it knocked something loose we sent it in and they fixed it and was able to retrive race data the guy won the race it was his first he got very lucky !!!
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 22, 2009 Author Report Posted July 22, 2009 I have had some modules go bad usally a battery Most members have only had their systems about 18 months so battery,s should be o.k.
THE FIFER Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 sometimes you get this, but when you go back it works ok, switch off the base station and try again,
Blue Tooner Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Are your clocks managed by the unikon software or eastcoast software? The reason I ask is because I had the same problem last year as you describe. We are on eastcoast software so I emailed them and explained the problem. They asked me to send all the data in a zipfile for them to look at and it turned out that a blank ets ring was causing the problem which they corrected and we haven't had any problems since. How they corrected it I have no idea.

Guest slugmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 at least 2 we had 1 update that caused several systems to crash in 06 I still think it's the best clock though the easiest anyway all the programming makes sense !!!
Guest slugmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 prior to 07 probably 1 per year when you send in clock to get battery changed they will install updates sometimes these cause prob it is best at start of season tho ask if anyone had any work on clock done if so start with these clocks when entering data

Guest slugmonkey Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 the only way we get them is having clocks serviced so we dont get as many

Guest milkyal Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Pigeon Man, you may have tired this but just in case you have not. Put birds on software "back Up" then exit programme. Go back into programme then sync with pocket clock and assign rings. Back UP again then sync with software.
Taylorsloft Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 Might still be a race on it try striking off
