BANDIT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 CH PIED IVE HEARD ABOUT THIS FROM THE WELSH IVE MET AT KESSAL AND AT THE BLACKPOOL SHOW,DONT KNOW WHY OUR FED KEEPS SENDING THERE,ITS ONLY 116 MILES TO ME AND YOU EITHER GET MOST HOME OR NOTHING AT ALL.
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 It would be nice if someone on here could actually watch the liberations and tell us what they were really like and post the findings on here like previously mentioned. It is renouned for hawks and would be great to hear if the birds got away without any attacks at the release point. SL

Guest JPH Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 if your birds go north up the coast before crossing they will get plenty attacks unfortunatly

BANDIT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 I AGREE WITH EAMON (SHORTCUT LOFTS) IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HEAR FIRST HAND HOW THE LIB WENT DID THEY CLEAR ANY HAWK ATTACKS AT LIB SITE ETC.
boxer Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 CH PIED IVE HEARD ABOUT THIS FROM THE WELSH IVE MET AT KESSAL AND AT THE BLACKPOOL SHOW,DONT KNOW WHY OUR FED KEEPS SENDING THERE,ITS ONLY 116 MILES TO ME AND YOU EITHER GET MOST HOME OR NOTHING AT ALL. we usually end up with loft full of irish birds touch wood havent had 1 this year yet
BANDIT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 BOXER WE DONT HEAR WHAT TIME THEY ARE GOING TO LIB UNTIL THERE GONE,BUT MOST TIMES ITS EARLY ONCE NO MIST OR FOG.
Shortcut Lofts Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Would make a difference actually knowing what way they really cleared instead of the usual "the birds cleared well" which we get every week - good or bad.
boxer Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 a lot come inland i know that much cause u tend to see packs going over all day wich ever way they go tho the hawks will b waiting
ch pied Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 were u from cheq piedn ireland , we have been useing the race point's in that area for many a long year , and each year it get worse for return's , even when thing's are in favour of a good race .

BANDIT Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 ROSE I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER IF WE MOVED INLAND ABOUT 10 MILES AND THEN THEY COULD HAVE A LITTLE RUN AT IT.
boxer Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 ROSE I THINK IT WOULD BE BETTER IF WE MOVED INLAND ABOUT 10 MILES AND THEN THEY COULD HAVE A LITTLE RUN AT IT. have to agree with that bandit they are let out right on the coast
ch pied Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Do you think your birds would be bit better if they were bit further inland I stayed away from channel races that are sitting right on the coast they dont seem to like crossing straight away and follow the coast along i wish they would forget about racing from s. wales , & go straight into bude .
Guest pigeon82 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 were all basketed from 4 pm this afternoon so all our birds our on their way still dont understand why it takes 2 days to get to wales from here when my dads birds are racing in france this weekend basketed on sunday for monday lib so why does it take ours so long to get from ireland to wales
