Be assured this is not the case, the last thing a race controller has to worry about is the wind, enough problems with rain and clashing with other organisations.

;D ;DGo back to these older fanciers and give them a good kick up the *expletive removed* from spouting rubbish.

Just hope we get a day that gives all sections a chance , With the race a week later than normal i hope we get an  early enough lib so us in the north section get plenty of time to get our birds on the day .

do you think it will help the birds only being in the racing basket for 1 night if we don't get a hold over

Yes and No :-/ :-/ :-/

Yes because it means that birds will not be eating of a basket floor that has been contaminated with pigeons that could have diseases and also less chance of dehydration taking place.

No because it is all a wee bit of a rush to get to the liberation in plenty of time for a liberation.

Gareth, does that mean we might have a late lib again like last year???????????

Pigeons should be down in plenty of time for a 07.00 liberation, then a wee prayer for the weather is what is required. ;) ;)

wouldnt like to think any race controller would think like that his main aim is to get as good and fair race as possible the 1 thing he cant control is weather/wind iam looking forward to our y/bird nat on sat all the best to all who send its going to be a stiff 1 if the wind forecast is correct

Looking forward to it myself Frank, especially with it being the last race off a long season.Have not got as big an entry as i have had in previous years, but enjoy this race so have dug out an entry.Best of luck to you and everyone that sends.

Watch out for Barclay McCrindle & son, from Paisley in the west section. Flying brilliantly this year with their ybs into a disadvantaged area. Taking bets that they win their section ;)
