Guest mytton6 Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Hi Jonny how long beforeyou let the birds go on the lawn ?
Guest IB Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 It's a new lawn I need. But like yourself, always checked label and went for 'pet friendly' stuff. Usually says safe to let animal on lawn after the weedkiller has dried in. With me, found doing it after birds came in after morning fly, was dry & OK to let them out same evening.
W.D. Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Feed & Weed contains sulphate of iron in the sand, this stuff will kill the worms in the soil so can't imagine it will do the birds any good if they peck at the sand. But if you do use it,better wait until its well washed in by the rain until you let them back out. If its weeds that are the problem much safer to use a selective lawn weedkiller and wait till the rain has washed it in.
