IMO,I think he's good at what he does,very cheap and yes he does take smple via post.

He does dropping samples by post but not swabs as he believes you do not get a true reading when they have been in the post for a couple of days. Would recommend him to anyone, his charges were, droppings £2 per sample and if you take the birds and he does a swab £3 per bird.

we definately goin 2 garys nxt season as he used 2 b in with ray ingram who i used a few year ago

i went to see Gary some weeks ago with half a dozen late breds i bought in. He did crop swabs there and then and showed me what he saw on the microscope and explained everything - he was very good. I left droppings with him and had results within a few days. I would definitely recommend him. economical too, cant remeber exact prices but for crop swabs and droppings for 6 birds he chrged me about 25 quid.
