Guest bigda Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 sounds very good stock just thinking how im going to get over what about sending a courier for them would that help
Guest bakes Posted June 29, 2009 Report Posted June 29, 2009 how do you go about that with courier's never used any pet transporters before
Guest bigda Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 how do you go about that with courier's never used any pet transporters before just say, for a good cheap pair of stock birds £ 400 proven breeders the only one pair you need to form a family from that can produce you say 8 young birds that year and you race 4-6 of them, picked 2 races then stopped for next year, then they will breed you say 20=24 young for next year, and the bloke you bought them from, will send them to you when your check has cleared, the courier would come to your home you would pay him say £40 for delivery all sorted, that would set you up for life in the pigeon game and be at the top table in no time doing it any other way can work out dearer in the long run
Guest bakes Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 ive found a courier anybody use them before http://www.pigeoncourier.co.uk/index.htm

Going back to your original post you want to visit local fanciers to learn! Do that! Don't go knocking on all your local fanciers doors asking to buy birds, make some friends and learn the game, how to care for the birds etcetc, watch them home from races, get advice on your loft set up and you'll find by making friends people will gift you birds! Its all about how you go about it! Phil
Guest bakes Posted June 30, 2009 Report Posted June 30, 2009 sorted now ive got stock coming end of the week from dave wood local channle racer and constant flyer of barcelona international over the moon
