different oil seeds have different realease times so its important to give them at the right day to get the  energy to the birds, so it depends how long the bird is going to be in the basket but mainly at the end of the week every thing should be geared to bring the birds to there peak for that 1 day but if you just want to keep good condition then as old yellow says a little every other day

using fat seeds at the back end of the week will be to late to benefit in the race    if you are using a diat mix   which is mostly fat seed  you would use this  at the start of the week   when the birds will benefit the most

to be honest tried it both ways i.e end of week and alway through with similar results  but a little and often does keep the birds in good condition and there feathering has a nice sheen and good falling of down ;)

I agree with that, all carbs a used in the firt 15 mins of a race then they start digging in to the fats, you need to build fats up as soon as you can,

And i agree with oldyellow, all week wont do them any harm

if you use the cold pressed hemp oil the protien has been removed so its pure energy but will be used by the bird within 2 days where as weatgerm oil will take 4/5 days to be out the system so for short races use  henp on thur/frid and the further out you  go use weatgerm wed/thur/frid
