FoxesFan4Ever Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Hi there, I aasked my friend to pick up some pigeon food from petshop today to save us both going. She has bought Regular instead of Young Bird. I can't buy another bag till Friday so will a couple of days on Regular do them any harm? It's Bucktons Racing Pigeon where they usually have Bucktons Young Birds. Thanks all
Guest joshdonlan Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 No you can use it no problems. If you do get another bag mix it in with that. Im always mixing corns together.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 i wouldnt worry about it mandy
paul10121968 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 my older youngsters are off the sqeaker mix and now i feed them irish pearl, its a good mix,but as everyone else has said it wont harm them at all.
kev01293 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 the regular mix will be fine mandy, when you get your yb mix on friday just mix it all up together and then your birds get the benefit of all the different grains and all the different vitamins in them alot of the pigeon mixes have the same grains but just in different amounts all the best kev
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 I use widowhood mix for all my birds young and old and has done them no harm at all
Guest youngzimmy Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 HUV YAE THOUGHT ABOOT TAKIN UP NITTIN
Babybird Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 HUV YAE THOUGHT ABOOT TAKIN UP NITTIN Maybe you could lend him some patterns ;D ;D ;D
Guest IB Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Must admit that I had never considered anything as old bird food, or young bird food for that matter. Whatever is put in front of it, if the bird recognises it as food it will eat it, regardless of age..
ritchie1 Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 all my youngsters are on gerie plus for 4 weeks now with extra mixes from my self
