Guest JPH Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 TRY METHILATED SPIRITS WORKS A TREAT. and no smoking while you do this ;) ;D
Guest IB Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Puzzled though that stain doesn't wash out by itself, natural oils & powder down should prevent it sticking. What is it, do you know? If it is 'oily' and only a couple of birds are affected, then a hand wash in warm water and household washing up liquid might be best.
Guest Denny Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 I used a very mild solution of baby shampoo - PH neutral as was not sure of the effect it would have on the feathers or underlying skin!
frank-123 Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 lighter fuel i was told will take any stain out feathers again don't use a naked flame near the pigeons when using it
rich Posted September 2, 2009 Author Report Posted September 2, 2009 thanks for all your tips and advice
