Thanks for the help go to disk defrag let that run through that will get rid of most the stuff that is clogging your computer up or go to add /remove in control panel get rid of the items you dont use it could be down to not having enpugh memory usualy when that gets full the computer will slow right down i wouldnt do a system restore though mate as if you got a virus on it will only make it worse run a security scan see what come up on that could be due to loads of spyware, add aware that slowing it down.
greenlands Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Make sure you back up any files and info either onto a pen or disc, scan same for problems. The instructions are in the link.If you are going to reset print instructions out first then you can refer to them later. Guest mick bowler Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Josh most reasons for a slow computer is everything that is running in the background from downloaded programmes etc. Worth doing ctrl+alt+delete and look at your task manager and see what processes are currently running. Also a good reputable registry cleaner will make it work better, but beware some will delete critical data for installed programmes, so when they ask wether to delete or not google them to see if they are needed.
