walterbmasson Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 blow lamping loft today there was a damp patch around the ventelating dome the cracks beside it when i started the torch and started there was red long about 1 inch or more thin like worms with legs coming running out never seen these before but put the shivers down your spine i have now sealed the cracks with silicone does any one know what they are would they touch the birds

Guest IB Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Red centipedes maybe? Carniverous, feeds on other insects, harmless to birds, red colour is a nature warning, so birds would not try and have them for lunch or anything like that..
