Guest bakes Posted December 13, 2009 Report Posted December 13, 2009 i havent got many pigeons at the moment but i have a cock bird what wants 2 boxs he is very strong he chops/slap me when i try to pick him up he just telling you thats his box mate if you wont it you have to have a scrap for it lol i spend hours in my loft im looky that my misses enjoys the birds this is no lie when i come in from work its straight through front room conservatry and out into the loft the misses is the same no hi how are you walk straight past me to our birds she asked me what i wonted for x-mas i said new boxs ok she said i asked her what she wonted this is no lie she said a pair of youngbirds from armstrong/wheatley they been on fire on the channle races so order a pair of jos thones for her as well as a ring and some perfume but the birds will be ours she be running the natural yb's 2010 and half the old birds i be running half the old birds and darkness youngsters a bit of compo lol i see you been bitten by the bug mate you no how long it took me to get bitten all of 30 seconds when i seen my birds coming over that big conifer tree in the distance from there first training toss i looked at the misses she looked at me and we just smiled ever since that we live for our birds now i would like to wish you the very best of look in the sport mate and hope you keep enjoying your birds thats the main thing mate. all the best k.baker

Guest bakes Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 dont know about that ;D ;D ;D,,but thanks ;D ;D ;D but would advise any new starter, to get to know a good long time flier, that has won over many years, befriend him or her, gain their trust and friendship,, and be able to return this, ,,learn and take in all they do, ask questions, , be prepared to work hard with your birds,, be prepared to take the knocks,,,then rejoice when you see your first bird coming home i totally agree with you jimmy when i first started up i only really new 1 flyer ive new him for ages as always stood having a chat when i was combineing my mate field that backs onto were his lofts are i will always remember going up to nocking on his door when he came out he said oright mate havent seen you in ages how are you when i said im starting up with pigeons he said brillent come on in had brew and walked down to his lofts he said right mate go into the loft pick the ones you like and when there ready i let you no popped back up think it was a week later nocked onto his door he handed me a basket said here you go mate was over the moon took them straight back home put them into my loft after a week let them out had the worst start you could of thought of sparrow hawk attack pergrine attack over and over went back up to his house told him thought he be a bit ped off with me said sorry mate ive lost most of them he said dont worry i got some latebreds you can have come back in a week came back again i handed him the woven basket he gifted to me we went down to the loft i read the ring numbers out he filled in the transfer form and he sent it off for me he paid for the transfer good lad still got a few of these birds i was gifted bought in birds off here one of the best things i have ever done was go to johns formula one auction over the trent valley club walked on in was like a rabbit in the head lights sat down looked through the birds i have liked the look off had a few bids but no look got out bidded everytime then a few of the local lads came over said you ok got chatting turned out to me allen armstrong and ian wheatley didnt click on to they said what sort of birds you after mate ive got an hen at my place you wont it shes yours went to get some money out they said no dont wont anythink just pop over and we have a chat that night i met stan goes by the name stan the man on here he out bidded me on an ronny williamson white grizzle cock got chatting he gave me his mobile number and went over for a loft visit and a few weeksa later after chatting on here he said get you self over my place i sort you out with somethink was looky he gifted my some right crackers mostly busshaerts jannsens he let me pick what ever i wonted from his loft he also took me to telford show which i enjoyed and his mate dave manders gifted me an cracking pair of flor engels also bernie mc dermott of here goes by demolition man gifted me an out stounding pair of stock birds and a very nice pied latebred met up with him at telford show also steve d of here gifted me and young kane another new starter that stan nos book,dvds and a training basket each goes to show how willing everyone is to help each other out in the sport i was taken back from all the offers cant forget blaz he gifted me an stonking wildy/aaden and two other cracking birds been very looky that ive managed to get a good group of birds together for more or less nothink didnt have much look with some delbars i bought 3 only got the 1 now due to pob attack but the one ive got left red chequer as trained well and one im keeping an eye on come racing so dod mate everyone helps each other out i was happy with what i could get but never thought i would have the quality i got now straight away without paying out alot of money all the best k.baker
