hello can you please help. i thinking of buying some grill floors but only got 4 inches from the ply floor to the top of grills. is that going to be deep enough.
should be fine but dont leave it 2 long between cleaning at least once a week.

i have a stack of these , (i inherited them) . i really like the idea of them ,but didnt find them practical enough to keep clean,had a base of versel-laga absorbent granules (which are similar in appearance to cat litter) but specifically for the birds and cheaper, topped with woodchips from the same company. was a good base for the stock loft .       andy.

I would just put some sand down with a bit of lime, but as said you will need to clean out and lift the grilles weekly so no point going to the expense of cat litter etc.

where did you get the floor grills?? and wat size and price because im thinkin of doing it for next year?

THERE A NIGHT MARE YOUR BETTER OFF SCRAPING OUT EVERY DAY I HAD THEM EVERY WERE IN ALL THE LOFTS AND DONE AWAY WITH THEM APART FROM 2 SMALL WIDOWHOOD SECTIONS AND

THERE LIFTED EVERY WEEK YOU WILL GET LAZY AND BUT OFF LIFTING THEM  :)
