carl ive personally never purchased birds from lpw (louellapigeonworld) but i know alot of people who have and they say some times they get rubbish of lpw and sometimes they get good birds of lpw i prefer to stick to the top fanciers across the country and possibly other countrys i always avoid local top fanciers because they will not give you there best birds if they are racing in the same federation as you because youll be beating them

Carl,a lot of guys in my club have bought birds from LPW and speak very highly of them. One guy said that he could not think of any where he could get a kit of birds for the money he paid for them from LPW, and if only one of them turned out to be a good un, it was worth it. Can't argue with that.

I have bought from louela and had succes in fact my best channel pigeon is one from them. He currently has 5x1sts from 200mls to 500 mls from french races. he is a British fareos strain. I intend to breed of him next year and then put him back on the road in 2007. :)

Over the years I have bought some 40 or 50 birds from Louella.

Like all pigeons you buy there are good and bad.

But I built a family based on some pigeons purchased from louella and had some good success stories.

But I have had some duck eggs too.

I must say that they were all in good health apart from 2 which died and he replaced them with no arguement on recieving back the rings.

But like anything else you pay your money and take your chance.

But they do have an excellent choice.

i"ve been buying pigeons from louella since the mid sixties, tried various strains, but the ones i liked the best  & had most success with were the de baere bros. which i first bought in 1985. unfortunately louella seems to have totally phased this family out.  i to have ordered some young birds for 2006 but only six van de rhees.

Thats not good bart as i thought louella would have compensated you on that one.

Another question i ask is,has anyone had health problems with birds bought from louella, respitory, canker, etc. The reason i ask is a fancier of 40 years flying told me he tryed louella

spent a lot of money on sons & daughters from top lines and he had nothing but respitory problems and had to get rid of the whole strain from his lofts.I must say i had birds but they are in stock and cant see any respitory problems.

Well spotted ribble my mistake ive just bought 35 birds direct from Belgium in conversation with the person who imported them for me i was saying the van de rhee pigeons look the part he asked how many i wanted said he could get them direct for me i thought he meant belgium.

Well according to louella they bought them all so did Adrie van rhee stop flying then ?.

How can you get them direct from van rhee if he sold them all ??.Did he sell them all and keep flying then..

i think you cant beat getting new birds & breeds from the best flyers 1.get them for half the price!!! 2. think if you mass breed gonna get alot of bad ens!! 3.dont know what your actually getting!

Two flyers in cleethorpes bought van der rhees and raced them there was not many could touch them for the past two seasons.  Now rod sparkes advertises in the homing world so you have no need to go to the nederlands for young birds :)
