pigeon pete57 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 morning all has any one been to lier market this year . just wonderd about the ring situation r.p.r.a rule as it is cheers peter
pigeonpete Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Must have seriously affected them, as if belgium rung they cant be raced under r.p.ra rules in 2010 :-/ Did the r.p.r.a think what affect that would have on racing in general?
pjc Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Why would it have an effect on racing? As far as I can see it will only have an effect of the sellers at Lier Market!
ch pied Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 well the belgie's have a choice , they can race them , or eat them , or do both ,
gangster Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D some u will find have got hold of uk rings

pjc Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 will someone tell me why the rpra is not allowing the racing of belg rung 2010 this year? because they do not have a metal sleeve/insert in the middle if the ring.
owen101 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 stupid question but if you brought them would you still be allowed to put them in as trainers ?

Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 because next year as old birds you can race them just not aloud to race them as young birds
gangster Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 has the s h u done the same then? NO YOU CAN RACE NO RULE UNDER SHU
Guest tom123 Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D some u will find have got hold of uk rings there will be a few i can assure you has i sent 200 over to a maate of mine has some of the passengers on our trip are rpra members gives them the oppertunity to buy a few and race em ,with us under whpu rules it doesnt effect us
gangster Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 because next year as old birds you can race them just not aloud to race them as young birds I MIGHT BE WRONG BUT I DONT THINK U WILL BE ABLE 2 RACE THEM NEXT YEAR I COULD BE WRONG
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I MIGHT BE WRONG BUT I DONT THINK U WILL BE ABLE 2 RACE THEM NEXT YEAR I COULD BE WRONG i thought it was just as young birds as there leg was smaller and you might be able to heat the ring and get it off there leg hence why they have allowed the 2009 belg rings to carryon being raced as these dont have a metal insert either , will fanciers cut off the belg ring when they get home if they are rung with a gb ring as well ? and i thought there was a rule that all birds should be rung with a ring in which country they was bred hence why your not ment to buy rings off ebay and ring birds with diff countrys rings
pigeonpete Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I MIGHT BE WRONG BUT I DONT THINK U WILL BE ABLE 2 RACE THEM NEXT YEAR I COULD BE WRONG I think your right from what i remember reading mick, 2009 rings were allowed as the rule wasnt in place then :-/ You would think these unions would work together for the benifit of us all, or is that to simple?
pigeonpete Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Why would it have an effect on racing? As far as I can see it will only have an effect of the sellers at Lier Market! Well all the usual belgian rung birds cant enter the one loft races for a start :-/
BLACK W F Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I MIGHT BE WRONG BUT I DONT THINK U WILL BE ABLE 2 RACE THEM NEXT YEAR I COULD BE WRONG i will if i want to got a sensable union ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
pjc Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 i will if i want to got a sensable union ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D same here!
Guest stb- Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 YES YOU CAN SEND UN RUNG BIRDS AS TRAINERS Nope you cant mick, you are supposed to have a list of all birds on the transporters ring no,s as on there vaccination certificates that is what you sighn for on your race sheet you cant identify an un rung bird and would have no proof of vaccination in the event of being stopped and checked
