Theft is theft!

Anything from a corn store is going to be similar to shoplifting, often done by opertunists, thefts from lofts are usualy planned and the theives will know the layout of the loft, the birds they want etc etc!

 

Shoplifting is taking from somebody's livelyhood, loft thefts are taking in many cases somebody's lifetimes work!

Yep,true, that is his business, but again if anybody goes in his shop and slips a tub in there pocket its oportunist as opposed to going to his loft and seeking out certain birds!

pjcwhen taking something  be it  a pigeon from a loft  or a pigeon  basket from a corn  it is stealing from the pigeon fraternicy FULL STOP

You can get a basket back on your insurance, and you cant get back a good pigeon,  i know what i would rather them take, and it would not be me birds

Bigger breach of trust stealing from another mans loft, of course all the other answers that theft is theft is right but when you take from a fellow flyer that is the lowest of low because its more personal.  jmo

I am amazed at how easily everybody talkes this sort of thing. Could it be that we are used to it and do not think it is particularly unusual. My attitude is very differant. If I catch anyone on my premises I certainly will not be talking to them. Law or no Law they will pay. Of course I could be unlucky and have a hard case to deal with, and I could be even more unlucky and be on the receiving end. Well I am sure that it will not be ending there. There will be another session for sure.
