dwh Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 he said he thought it was his bird that he was racing. so he's ether aliar or a sh** pigeon fancier who does'nt know his birds and been veryvery lucky to win with that bird
Guest BIRD_MAN_JOHN Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 The club could call a meeting under the rules and throw him out for ungentlemanly conduct! that should be done rules or rules BUT will they :-/
Guest BIRD_MAN_JOHN Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 so he's ether aliar or a sh** pigeon fancier who does'nt know his birds and been veryvery lucky to win with that bird one or the other yes.
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 The club could call a meeting under the rules and throw him out for ungentlemanly conduct! Phil wouldnt the decision of the region overule anything the club did,as it would go back to the region if his club did something like that.
Guest bakes Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 How can you race a stray and not know, I mean if you are entering it for an RPRA award you obviously think highly of the bird, surely you would check the breeding of it to try and breed more champs like it, then u would realise you didnt breed it and it was a stray ????????? i agree steve you would of thought he would of known if it was one he bred or bought in to a stray thats dropped in with his birds.
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 do anybody no whos bird it was I dont I,m only going on what Ive read in the Wm region meeting notes and the proper owner as not been mentioned.
tony austin Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 its very simple, if you do not have a transfer for the pigeon you should not be allowed to enter it in any race. everybody in a club should know the club rings assigned to members, if it does not corrospond then it dont go on the lorry, very simple is it not.jmo.
pjc Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Phil wouldnt the decision of the region overule anything the club did,as it would go back to the region if his club did something like that. It may go back to region but if they did turn the clubs decision over it could be apealed to council and i'm sure they would want to know why the region ignored the problem in the first place. As it stands nobody can take it to council to be resolved.

Dont think it is that simple are you saying that every pigeon basketed for a race be checked to see if the fancier owns it.

whiteflighted Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 would they tall the person who owns it
pjc Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 103. No competitor in any race, show or exhibition shall be entitled to win a prize unless the ring carried by the bird was issued to the owner, or had been transferred to and registered in the name of the owner in accordance with the provisions of the preceding rule for a period of 14 days prior to the date of the race, show or exhibition. Proof of ownership of winning birds must be given to the organisers or promoters before prize money is handed over.
pjc Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Verifications 108. The Secretary of any Organisation may obtain verification of the ownership of any Association ring on a bird upon paying to the General Manager a fee of 10p per ring (inclusive of value added tax).
tony austin Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Dont think it is that simple are you saying that every pigeon basketed for a race be checked to see if the fancier owns it. ok lets say that all birds were put in the race baskets and the ring no of the bird that wins does not corrospond with the club rings that were assigned to that club, how long does it take to check the winning bird.

This is why many cant understand the decision of the Region its getting to be a funny sort of suituation locally.
pjc Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 But this is why the club should take action!

Agree mate ,but how many clubs would bother to do a check as you have said.
ray Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 he should be banned but the fed sec should check to see if the bird belongs to the fed topper our sec does. although i don't think there's a rule for this
tony austin Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 Agree mate ,but how many clubs would bother to do a check as you have said. if they were doing their job this s**t would not happen.jmo.
BLACK W F Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 black wf ppl thought he was hit by a bus lol lol he was lucky then :P
pigeonscout Posted February 21, 2010 Report Posted February 21, 2010 In our club each member has to hand in their race sheet 2 weeks before the first race. Any bird that does not carry the ring number of the fancier has to have a transfer card or it will be taken off the race sheet and reported.
