due to our y.b race progam of races of 30,40,50,and60mls my birds fell apart in moult, before they could go any further.

as they have averaged only 60 mls,how far would you take yearlings for first toss

dont train them till there's plenty of sun on their back...

if there working well at home.. couple of 15/20 milers they'll be good to go...

avoid cold days and east winds early doors... remember your trying to build them up..

would that 12 mile be used as a breaking point from the leading batch and should be picked as to where your birds should brake from, our club has no bounderies, i give 9,mls to some members is this your reasoning

yes mate plenty of tosses at the breaking point is good u can also double up ect this is good u can make them think 4 them selfs and build confidance into them as well

correct dont mess about with all this 5mls stuff if they are right they will be covering that allready couple of 15/20mls then they will go anywhere

weather and wind will mostly dictate which route the birds come on... theres really no way of knowing where the birds will be breaking...

concern yourself more with... health, fitness and motivation.. thats what will have them breaking earlier..

12 mile until they start to beat you back then 25 mile for a bit then drop then back down to 12 milers once the first few races are over
