Letter Z in Rings

I wonder if anyone can help, I have been offered some 09 birds today by a fancier who is packing in because his loft keeps getting broken into.

 

I've got the pedigrees but there's just something telling me they could be fake, the fancier says he paid nearly £1000 for them last year from Wall, Lunt & Green (there's 6 birds in total) but he now wants a couple of hundred for them all.

 

the ring numbers start at GB 09 Z 92424 - 92429.

 

Does the letter Z indicate what club the ring was sent to , if so where is Z.

Z rings allocated to Midlands National FC.

i think z rings are bought the rpra or somewhere like that  .. dont waste your money on them mate

hi daryl just give wall ,lunt and green a bell and ask them

just been on mnfc and put the first number in their stray section but nothing coming up on there tells you to report to the rpra.

Darrylpersonally i dont think les would ringthe birds for sale with mnfc rings but you never know i suppose,  give him a ring and dont part with your money till you find out the truth ,

there members on chat if i remember rightly bud pm them see what they say but i wouldnt be worried if there rung with mnfc rings as most my yearlings are rung in mnfc rings still can race them in club as well as mnfc

The birds look very good and the fancier had a few firsts last year with them, and I'm very unsure about any pedigree that's why I think I'm suspicious of these,

if you like the birds in hand mate and there done what has been asked off them i wouldnt be worryed about peds as only a piece of paper bud not going to help the bird in anyway
