PIGEON_MAN Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 As a club secretary how can I be sure that the member as received the text or call without him or her texting or ringing me back.
Joe90 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 hi i have sent out over 50 texts in trials and it has not failed yet, the messages sent to land line will call the member twice if his she is out and will leave a message on BT answer phone. there is a feature that lets you look at a text message archive and prove you sent it if a member says he didnt get the message. i would suggest a phone call along side the text just untill you build confidence in the site. PM me your mobile and landline number and i will gladly send you an example liberation message mate yours in sport andy
PIGEON_MAN Posted March 20, 2010 Author Report Posted March 20, 2010 Wish you luck with it mate but I would sooner speak to my members then I know for certain they know what times the birds are liberated,I have free calls so costs nothing anyway.

P.S. some clubs have to many members to phone around just some ideas for you thanks again
ally mac Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 We have a similar system in the Lifeboat here, we can send a text to everyones phone at once from an email, hasnt let us down yet but as suggested you cant be sure the person has recieved and read it. Handy system though. Al.
Joe90 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 once stable computers will have little error if any at all, i guess human error is more a factor, even that can be done when the sec leaves an answer phone message on the wrong phone ;D this has happened to me i have offered the demo for a test and will offer some texts to you to give it a good trial i am looking at a weeks free subscription with 5 free texts to give you the confidance in the system. if the site returns the message sucsessfully sent them they have deffo reieved it
Joe90 Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 I have put a free trial up for people to register a have a test drive for a week
