Guest Owen Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Fantastic. Let's hope that all the attention it's getting will stop the RSPB from interfering with it. It will be the last thing that they will want. There will be a grand welcome waiting for his relations if they decide to come over here to South Wales.

blaz Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 eagle owls when given the chance kill and eat other birds of prey up to and including common buzzards and every little helps
les Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 eagle owls when given the chance kill and eat other birds of prey up to and including common buzzards and every little helpsonly when they run out of things to eat ,and i cant see that happening in a place like bristol with all the vermin about .so i cant see any hawks uping sticks and moving .
Guest Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Have been lead to believe these owls hunt at night and raid the peregrines nests and eat the young,is this not correct.
pjc Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 The RSPB will get rid of it within days and when questioned will say nothing!
Guest bigda Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 what is it going to do except eat rats and squirrels . your right there Les, but the rats are a start and the squirrels, its the rspb that tell us that they eat kids and hawks dont believe them there, eating peregrines never the poor owl is getting the blame for every thing, i would like to go to a hide and watch the owl in action as its seem a popular venue when the racing pigeon is on the menu with the hawks if the rspb has such a tin for owls wealth-fair i will support it ;D ;D
les Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 Have been lead to believe these owls hunt at night and raid the peregrines nests and eat the young,is this correct.only if it is nesting in the same place and competing for the same food .
frank-123 Posted March 12, 2009 Author Report Posted March 12, 2009 http://www.owls.org/Information/food.htm they would clear any birds of prey from around there nesting site
