Guest Owen Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 A while ago I think we were all quite pleased at the fact there was an Eagle Owl living wild in the centre of Bristol. Some were saying that it would'nt be long before the RSPB caught up with it and it would disappear. I guess that must have happened because no-one seems to have seen it for quite a while now. Has enyone seen or heard about it recently?
Guest Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 I seem to recall a thread on here where one of the pair in Bristol was reported dead at Bristol University :-/
Guest bristolkev Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 aye and ask why rspb wanted kill our bristol owls at same time chris spoke to my neighbour this morning who works at the bristol uni about the 2 eagle owls nesting in the uni and she siad the first one of the two was found dead a month ago and the other one is missing! so has the RSPB been working in mysterious ways here? and nothing has been on the local news about them going missing. the above was posted a few day`s ago...since then i`ve spoke to my neighbour again and she say`s that their is a pair of BOP ( percy probably) not sure what they are nesting on a tower in the bristol uni......so the RSPB probably got rid of the owl`s before they could have these BOP for dinner.

If they had been BOP the RSPB would have had an ortopsy done costing hundreds of £'s and the result plastered all over the news papers. Lindsay C
Turk Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 Poor Oscar will have no doubt in my mind succumbed to a poison bait trap ,having read about the bird supposedly flying into the window rubbish ,the power of these birds he would have one through the bloody window who are they kidding :-/ if they do not fit into the rspb policy book ,there doomed just like the ruddy duck ,been shooting them for years . :-/

cowman Posted July 19, 2009 Report Posted July 19, 2009 i shall inquire tomorow if indeed there are hawks in the grounds of the univerity if yes im sure i can cause quite a headace for rspb as remmber the tv were more than intrested in the owls and the local papers i do remember when oscar was being filmed and they were trying to track him percy was shown to be on the side of a building .
Guest Owen Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 In the report on poor old Oscar the Eagle Owl, they claim that there are Eagle Owls wild near Neath. Has anyone seen them? It would be great news if it can be proven that they can live in South Wales. It would be even better if they can expand further east where there are far too many BOP. I don't quite know how, but but I think they have to be protected from the RSPB. I am convinced that they were probably behind the death of Oscar. Although, he was taking one hell of a risk by eating rats, because a lot of them would be carrying poison. I lost a good dog once from biting a poisoned rat.
Guest Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 Very devious and underhanded bunch, who think they are above the law. And they have the cheek to use unproven propaganda to point the finger at Pigeon Fanciers for the so called BOP deaths. Two faced b@$t@rd$

Guest Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 c,mon Bob , dont sit on the fence ,tell us how you feel . andy. I wouldn't like to end up in the red, if I really spoke my mind. One organisation, and one Organisation alone, in the next 5 years, will be solely responsible for the downfall of our great hobby, unless a full investigation of ALL their activities, be it Land Ownership, propagandering, or underhanded activities which we all feel they are doing.
