Mmmmmmmmmm, papers involved, rspb and sh haven't been back in touch. I'll wager the poor thing "disappears" or meets some other misfortune, as did the one on MOD ground in Yorkshire.
vanreets Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 i like the barn owls because they dont get are birds but the falcons that will be a great meal for the owl
Guest Owen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I would be willing to bet that the RSPB will see that it does not last long. If the Farmer is complaining about the Owl I can't see how it can possibly survive for long. I know that they are suposed to take peregrines but I think you'll find that it's main diet will be rabbits. On the other hand I bet the peregrines are very very nervious.

jimmy white Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 why dont the rspb put web cams up for these birds at their nesting sites , theres many" twichers " and bird lovers, and other interested parties, would love to follow their" progress" in breeding etc it would make a change from all these peregrine web cams , seeing racing pigeons being eaten, ,,,only their registered rings left,,,,,,,,,,,,that never get returned to their owners , who bought and paid for them :-/ :-/ :-/
Guest JPH Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 that would be great then we could watch the tracker devises being chewed of percy. ;)

Guest IB Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 The Owl Trust are aware this one will take other well known British Owl species, and other birds of prey are known to clear other bop out of their territory, without anyone sqealing snoright , so why the fuss?
shotgun tim Posted August 30, 2009 Author Report Posted August 30, 2009 speaking to someone at work who lives in coldstream and the owl hasnt been seen for a while :-/ :-/
