Jumbo Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Just had my late breds out for their exercise and when they were entering the loft a hen sparrow hawk attacked them , most were through the trap but one of them flew from the landing board straight through the back door of the house into the kitchen with my dad chasing the hawk . So all safe this time , good job the last race this weekend so we can shut them up for a while to keep them safe .
Blue Tooner Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Had a hen sparrowhawk hit a young bird last week, luckily the youngster managed to escape minus a few tail feathers. They are everywhere at the moment :-/
Jumbo Posted September 10, 2009 Author Report Posted September 10, 2009 Yes have been bothered with this one for a couple of weeks , but the old silver fox is now on the war path so it better watch out.

Blue Chequer Pied Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 Hi Jim, Just had one have a go at my birds as they were coming in from excercise tonight. I almost managed to grab it as i came running out between the lofts and the fence but I missed it. No doubt the swine will be back. Paul.
