Shortcut Lofts Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Happened to log on yesterday and see the Hen eating a woodcock. As for rings the RSPB will never release them because they know it will cause uproar due to the ammound they have found and the fact that racing pigeons are higher up the food chain than they are letting on. If you remember years back when the Pigeon Sport paper was in circulation rings were posted from nest sites in Ireland and there were thousands of them - some were mine and in fact i trawled through the lists that were published weekly and found 19 rings from our club. The RSPB will not let us have that information nowadays as it will not be good for their Propaganda campaign.
cowman Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 just been on there now and they are ripping a pigeon to bits.
Guest grizzler Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 bring back the eagle owl..that should balance things out a little ;)
billt Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 I remember that Shortcut, in the 70s-80s there were often lists of ring no's from percy nests published
