T_T Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Has anybody got any ideas on how to make a proper box in which to put your pigeon for a photograph. Size and materials also reqd. If racing is not possible, we're going to need another outlet and I thought this would do me as a bit of a project, along with painting, wallpapering, gardening, plumbing, SHOPPING. God I hope we race !!! LOL.
tartanboy Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 like bruno would write every dark lining has a silver cloud, just be positive when it happens.what will you do if turns out we cannot race?bruno any ideas.

Guest Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 We have made a photobox which works quite well. I will ask Steve later today the specifics of the construction and post on the list
T_T Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 Thanks Hyacinth, It's just something I need to do after seeing eight famous pigeons ( not that mine are famous ) of George Busschaert all together in one large frame on the wall in his home.
T_T Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 Tony C, Don't think your'e getting out of it.
Tony C Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 I had no idea you was thinking about putting ME in it :'(
T_T Posted March 1, 2006 Author Report Posted March 1, 2006 I doubt if I would get you to stand right, especially coming out of your loft of deep litter wearing those high heels. LOL
schouwman71 Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 photo shop 6 will get you that sort of image without the box ,takes some working out but you can produce pigeon images like that.
Guest Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 TT Steve fell asleep in the chair last night and didn't do the spec for me, I hope to get it done tonight
RoosterBoy Posted July 17, 2006 Report Posted July 17, 2006 I was going to set one up myself, photography is another hobbie of mine, I found out that taking picture of them at nite time seemed to work best, the background is dark and just the Pigeon was visible, it depends on your flash and how you like taking pictures. Once their new feathers grow back I will try more photos , I post a few of my Pigeon pictures on Webshots and invited this Group to view them if they wished,my picture site is at http://community.webshots.com/album/552266914QEYLZn Let us know if you ever come up with some ideas on making something up.My friend had a Bird Blind set up out in the Woods for years and he got some of the best pictures I ever seen, they look best in a natural setting, maybe if you could make up a natural setting and place the Pigeons there ,that might work well Good Luck Jason
mobster Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 wow! rentenier.. this sample of your photgraphic box for pigions really is awsome.
Chatrace Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 To take Photos, a wire cage lined with black velvet cloth on walls and bottom works best. leave the top of wire cage open for a light to shine down on the bird. when covering the bottom with the black leave a block of wood under it so the bird will use it like a perch .leave a door on the front to place the bird in and out. you can use any color velvet for back ground, but black or a maroon works best. the Velvet cuts the glare down also
