Guest Vic Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Over the last twenty or so years, I have been racing widowhood, (by the book) so to speak, with reasonable success. Hens well shielded from the cocks, semi darkness, regular exercise, I could go on, and on and on. A regime that I have come to despise. Anyhow this year, I have decided to race the hens also, which are situated at the rear of my loft. No hard and fast rules, just using what experience the w/hood system has taught me. I will have a couple of stock birds within the racing loft, and presently it seems like a mumbo jumbo system. But I have decided to race through to the 2nd channel race on this system, just terasing the hens and cocks weekly, Then staggering them, by pairing up for the further races. By the way , my club has done away with the 20 bird limit, to a no limit situation, which means I can move all birds whenever necesssary. I am really looking forward to this season, It should be exciting!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Tony C Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 sorry i dont know any thing about this can someone tell me what are these systems all about? On another thread you said your studying in London. Dagenham is a 50 minute journey on the tube, if you want to rub shoulders with pigeon folk, ask questions, watch us sending our pigeons to a race you'd be more than welcome.
