Guest Hjaltland Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 Our birds are released off a ferry in the middle of the ocean every weekend during the racing season, you have nothing to worry about. Best of luck

TERRY JOHNSON Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Our birds are released off a ferry in the middle of the ocean every weekend during the racing season, you have nothing to worry about. Best of luck I have always thought my birds were pretty good to get them from Lerwick to south east kent 614miles but when you boys on the Shetlands get them home from mainland uk to your little island out in the hostile north sea & sometimes from Morpeth its absolutely amazing, when you say you liberate your trainers from boats at sea even more amazing, what a challenge !!!.
Babybird Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 have you ever trained the birds north to east. Not yet, I havent done much with them as they have been ill and now moulting, this is for next summer. I am looking for advice on training them up, the furthest they gonna have to go ever is about 50 miles :-/
