its the age old question :) my answer would be [like a politician] ;D

without the fancier the best cannot be gotten out the pigeon

without the pigeon, you would have less chance of winning

but a good fancier can make a  mediocre pigeon  win,, a bad fancier can ruin a good bird :)     50-50 ;D

Depends the distance you race... the further you go the more percentage the doo...

Alot of average doos can win short races due to excellent management.. so then it would be higher % the fancier..

i would agree that a bigger the  percentage,, for the distance,, but still believe  management could make or break a good pigeon,,

I think it would vary between every individual doo.. some doos dont need any help, some need plenty.. down to knowing your doos

im new to the sport  (2 years ) i have paid good money for what was good pigeons but i think it was me that let the birds down lack of knowledge

i think after some years of making mistakes i will get there in the end and become a good pigeon flier but i think experience is what you need as there  is so much to learn and so many ways to do things i am happy with the birds i have got now as i have not won much with them but i have let others have birds off me and they have done well with them this has proven to me that the birds i have are capable of winning races but its me that is lacking  experience

and i think that me racing birds that i payed for and was at the bottom of the sheet most weeks made the person that i got them off look bad and that was my fault    it was and still his lack of experience

JUST KEEP AT IT M8  IM SURE YOULL GET IT RIGHT EVENTUALLY AND IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT BIRDS THEY WILL PAY YOU BACK. ;) ;)

70% pigeon / 30% fancier, pigeons do the work and basket will tell  you

i would have said fancier more than pigeon....but this post is true as i often wonder how i win the odd race ...the things i do. is it better to spend your 'carreer' looking for that 'excellent' pigeon or honing your skills to get the very best out of average ones??
