what do you give ..when rearing

Buttermilk in water and pot of Vitalin added to feed

 

i use  the same

never felt the need for anything other than a good breeding mix (breed & wean)may give a gally pot with some extra protine they can take it or leave it the birds know what they  need at different times of the year

I am going to be trying G10 pellets, and Gem breeding mix. I will also be adding SMA to the corn. Hoping for good results.

what do you give to the birds when rearing young?

there are many products/feed etc..what is your choice...

do not include things like minerals/grit etc.

 

i used to feed layers pellets but found that it made the birds cough as if they had canker.

but i did have nice youngsters on it.

that's why i phoned a couple of mates and none of us has heard or seen of anything like this and we all use them :-/ :-/ :-/ I tried the orega stim pellets early this year but after using the 1 bag i went back to layer pellets and to be honest i never noticed 1 bit of difference apart from the near £5 a bag in cost :o
