Start/Stop Darkness

Well it,s the time of the season that fanciers are starting to wean youngsters, so when do members who practice the Darkness system,

a. start their youngsters on the system?

            

b. what date do they take them off the system?

i was always told put them on by the 14th feb and take them off  20th june

but also heard that you can put them on at anytime just whatever suits you
