I race hens and cocks the hens race back to the stock cocks and the cocks race back to the stock hens. That way they always have their partner waiting on them when they enter the loft. I also race my young bird the same way, young hens back to old cocks and young cocks back to old hens. This system works for me and I have done ok on it.
blaz Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 natural to big yb,s further out hens to chipping eggs. the pull to get back to new youngsters is stronger than the pull to get back to a cock or hen.(just my opinion)

Sounds like a good system,as you say there's always something at home for tem on arrival. Lindsay
