What to feed on race week

Right Few questions what is the best to feed and what time to feed the day before a race and just how do you guys prepare before a race and its for young birds i am enquiring about so help and examples would be great.

i'll start it off...not that i'm a great authority. i hopper feed V/L yb mix to ybs and take out midday of basketing day. i think the V/L mix has alot of small seeds so i'm mixing in some maize/ maples/wheat as exp.

when you say V/L do you mean versace laga? as we used this alredy

if its young birds only i feed 50% breed and ween 50% irish up to 2/3 weeks before the racing then sat/sun the same but gerry plus mon to frid

50/50 gerry plus and premier gold just now then like frank 100% gerry 3 to 4 weeks before raceing

i give them pleanty on a friday as i treat y/b raceing as a leaning curve

and not too bothered if they win anything

just get them home with something extra in the tank if something goes wrong

while young on darkness 100% high protein y/bird no maze as much as the can eat,3 week before 1st race 75% irish  25% barley all week except friday, friday morning half once irish,

12 o,clock half once irish.

yes...but it seems to be very small seeds, which i guess is to encourage them to eat more...but mine don't seem to like it much so i'm 'experimenting' a bit .

I fly my young birds on natural,if they want to pair up they can.On darkness at the moment,am. just a treat to let them know who's the boss and make sure they are all hungry and showing no signs of y.b.s.in the afternoon young bird high protein as much as they want. Once off darkness they go on the gerry plus system by the book.
