Guest cosmic dave Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I pick my first birds up in 3 weeks, will they want to breed ? and how can I discourage this ? I don't want to split them up. I am not putting any boxes in the the loft just perches, will this help ? :-/
Guest cosmic dave Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I'm not sure, the guy I'm getting them from says they will be ready in 3-4 weeks.
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 must be young birds then , so no i dont think you will have to worry about them breeding just yet mate and perches will be fine for them
Guest cosmic dave Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Cheers, Ive got so much to learn with them this summer without the complication of them wanting to breed.
pigeonpete Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Cheers, Ive got so much to learn with them this summer without the complication of them wanting to breed. Dave chill mate, It will be 3/4 months before they even think about pairing, worry about it nearer the time, its not a problme anyway, could help you aswell.
Tony C Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 No matter what age they are they'll come a time during the year they'll want to breed, all that needs to be done is replace their eggs with plastic dummy ones.
