jonjon Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 hi all im intrested in the method that janssen brothers and i belive de klak used the same method of breeding just reley out of intrest
red1chq3 Posted October 14, 2008 Report Posted October 14, 2008 Have you read there book, writen by Ad Sherlaken (bad speller)??
schouwman71 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 they didnt really have a method jonjon,at the time they had such class winning birds it was easy for them to breed top class birds, all i can say is that they paired on winning performances has way back there birds were from different lofts and formed to make there own family.Plus the janssen pigeons now are a little different than they were back then through different people forming there families over the years, only know a few lofts now that still resemble the old stuff. les
gangster Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 borgman bros jos klaks nephews still maintain 100% blood no crosses in there birds, herman and janus keep them as pure as you can get and win nationals..........and the only others in the reusel area are c&a v gestel ex loft manager for jos no other lofts in the area can claim 100% blood
gangster Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 kuipers from hoorn has been a regular buyer from janssen bros approx 30 years and theres are not crossed and are super birds winning all over including poland
mark Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 they didnt really have a method jonjon,at the time they had such class winning birds it was easy for them to breed top class birds, all i can say is that they paired on winning performances has way back there birds were from different lofts and formed to make there own family.Plus the janssen pigeons now are a little different than they were back then through different people forming there families over the years, only know a few lofts now that still resemble the old stuff. les so in theory les, the janssens the brothers raced were crosses as they had birds from other lofts,?
schouwman71 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 sure is mark, dicke meermanhas the best old type of janssens i have ever seen, going back to the old henk van boxtel janssens, the no1 satalite lofts for the janssen pigeons, they still carry the very old type of janssen eyes and feather. les
gangster Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 bet you cant count the crosses on 1 hand in all those years and the so called crosses did contain the brothers own blood....
schouwman71 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 your right gangster, they were only a few,but quality aswell, thats why people are able to keep them pure has they say has the cross has been put there years ago.Janssen pigeons are the best birds ive ever had.not had anythink yet to beat my results that i got when racing the old janssen blood. les

gangster Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 matter of opinion a few do keep as they were...
frank1 Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 they said there best results for inbreeding were nephew to auntie uncle to niece
just ask me Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 the janssens were genius when it came to pigeons and with breeding them were even better three line breeding inbreeding methods were unbelievable i wouldn't advice anyone to try copy it as if u read the the jansen story ive read it a least 5 6 times and every time there's just so much too it everytime i read it the more questions needs to be answered and do i really do think that a lot of fanicers might say that they still have them pure but id bet there were crosses brought in if ure looking for something a bit more simpler old hands book the red one (cant rem name of it) is very good for the basics of breeding some of the racing methods in my opinion might be a little dated in it but the breeding part is good and a bit easier to understand mt advice to all and new starters are crosses that just what i think
jonjon Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Posted October 16, 2008 ive got my hands on an copie of the janssen book just reading one or two of the ped s the thought ect that when in to breeding is quiet amazing
