Who are the fanciers that race the Delbar strain these days. They were cracking pigeons and always did well over the distance. Beautiful birds to look at and worth their weight in gold. Does anyone have them or know of someone. Would not mind a couple of these one day.

i have a few Delbars bought them in for a cross but ending up with one pair pure from the red plum lines via louella the other is a son out of 1st fed Clermont Y.M.R 362 MILES

Sorry Navigator meant to say also that although you dont hear alot of these birds nowdays at least not as much as you used to - Take a look at pedigrees of the Jos Thone pigeons.

 

 

One must remember too the reason why Buessart was so unpopular... He bought strong from Delbar when no one would touch his birds.

That is 100% a certainty. It is the Cross that makes the strength , Vitality and costitution, and of course 'Racers'
