The Navigator Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Who are the fanciers that race the Delbar strain these days. They were cracking pigeons and always did well over the distance. Beautiful birds to look at and worth their weight in gold. Does anyone have them or know of someone. Would not mind a couple of these one day.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 i have a few Delbars bought them in for a cross but ending up with one pair pure from the red plum lines via louella the other is a son out of 1st fed Clermont Y.M.R 362 MILES

OLDYELLOW Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Ian Axe got his from Jack Roberts top bloke for Delbars
paddymac Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 I have a few from Ian that I purchased a few years back and they were certainly worth the money and I still have them.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 if Roland was here he'd be saying Kings of Skegness but he aint so i will lol
Roland Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Sorry Navigator meant to say also that although you dont hear alot of these birds nowdays at least not as much as you used to - Take a look at pedigrees of the Jos Thone pigeons. One must remember too the reason why Buessart was so unpopular... He bought strong from Delbar when no one would touch his birds.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Busheart bought plenty of the champions from the top lofts hence why the strain was and still is so strong
Roland Posted October 17, 2008 Report Posted October 17, 2008 Busheart bought plenty of the champions from the top lofts hence why the strain was and still is so strong That is 100% a certainty. It is the Cross that makes the strength , Vitality and costitution, and of course 'Racers'
