after the first race cocks get 1 hour am. pm flag up 1/2 hour then they can do what with windows closed.all the best joe

i only had a few training tosses last season to freshen them up a bit otherwise no real need to train after first race jmo

we don't train cocks much after racing starts but train hens and hens are outperforming cocks yet my mate train his cock not his hens and the hens still outpreform cocks starting to think roundabout don't suit cocks!!!!! :o

you will find with widowhood is that the hens will beat the cocks they need to be treeted diff your right in training the hens but the secret with winning with the cocks is they nd rest . after the first race my cocks are not let out till tues they nd total rest not forced to fly rest its the key at the start of the season when the days are cold still

cheers for hat r/r will probably try that 1st 3 races see how it goes. hens battered the cocks we hopper fed hens but measure corn4 coks we work the ens hard but we bit more relaxed with coks

Depends on your birds, if they not fit enough around the house then they need to be trained! Best season on WH we ever had the birds went with me to work, most days in the basket most of the day. Also know a top fancier does the same now and does not liberate them until he is on way home, he won all bar one race he entered last year.

 

Besides all the big boys say they never train, you just got to be up early enough to catch them out!!

in my best season in 2006 when i won 27 firsts my widowhood cocks saw the basket once and won 25 firsts the inland ave channel ave and fed ave . old pigeons do not need training ! what are you trying to teach them ! they can get race fitness at home and they need rest its more important than training
