dwh Posted December 24, 2009 Author Report Posted December 24, 2009 i only had a few training tosses last season to freshen them up a bit otherwise no real need to train after first race jmo we don't train cocks much after racing starts but train hens and hens are outperforming cocks yet my mate train his cock not his hens and the hens still outpreform cocks starting to think roundabout don't suit cocks!!!!!

Guest mick bowler Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Depends on your birds, if they not fit enough around the house then they need to be trained! Best season on WH we ever had the birds went with me to work, most days in the basket most of the day. Also know a top fancier does the same now and does not liberate them until he is on way home, he won all bar one race he entered last year. Besides all the big boys say they never train, you just got to be up early enough to catch them out!!
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 in my best season in 2006 when i won 27 firsts my widowhood cocks saw the basket once and won 25 firsts the inland ave channel ave and fed ave . old pigeons do not need training ! what are you trying to teach them ! they can get race fitness at home and they need rest its more important than training
