mine never see a basket for training after 1st race, as its a long season and the only motivation should be on the day before the race, coming back to the cocks or hens through the week in my opinion will only sicken them, keep them fresh ;)

always.train them birds are racing home from a toss and learning,don,t do that with exersise

after first race if the birds are flying a hour a day they dont get trained after racing starts

 

for years and years i trained through the racing season monday tuesday wednesday thursday not to far about 30/35 miles. one year i stoped from traning thruogh the weeks and i done very well indeed. the year after done the same again done well and won feds yes feds ive never trained again and still comeing up the top. i dont think they need training after the race begins, as i said i train through the weeks of the season for 18 years since i stoped ive never looked back. ;) you try it and see for your self if you been there and done it you will no what im saying. regards john
