if they get to 3 year old they will have done a job or they will have gone down as they will have done the chanell at least twice

any bird should of shown it potential by time there a yearling , as a 2 year old there at there best 3 year olds are ideal for the longer races jmo

yes i supose the sprinter boys need/expect them to have done something as yearlings but its different for the distance some familys take longer to mature than others

i dont agree with any bird should of shown its potential by the time they are a yearling if you have old fashened birds that mature slow or someone is building a long distance team and taking there time

i agree that some birds improve as they get older but they would have shown there capabilitys by been flown and still there to live another day had two distance cocks last year as yearlings ok they homed , but they will have that experience as two year olds and will be allowed to mature if dont perform this year i certainly wont be giving them a third year , most of my best birds have shown themselves as yearlings and greatly improved as 2 year olds
