Guest Vic Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I sent 26 (6 extras) trying to keep them on par with others, as mine have had vey little training. All home within an hour of each other.(20 within 20 minutes) So Not too bad. (2 minutes behind) No more road training. 30 minutes am & pm with the flag. PLUS NO WEDNESDAY RACING WITH THE WIDOWS THIS YEAR.Slowly, slowly, kills off most of the monkies. ;D ;D ;D

Coleman great flying lads Ray & Teresa
Pompey Mick Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Had an ETS trainer from Poole 42mls, sent 4 odd cocks well off the pace but the ETS went well. Used FSS and all the club birds clocked (16 members,127 birds) were entered automatically and calculated in no time. Saved my fingers. At last I'm getting some benefit.

jimmy white Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 What you doing sending good channel birds this early in the year in dodgy weather? must admit vic, was wondering this myself [no doubt you have your reasons ]
Guest Vic Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 What you doing sending good channel birds this early in the year in dodgy weather?[/quote] I wouldn't say dodgy weather, so strike while the iron is hot, as some may say,. they have been nearly 100 miles already. so, time is on my side, if you see what I mean.

I know what you mean but surely they could have got 100 miles at the start of May when the wind is in the west and the temperature is more pleasing. Maybe its different in England, but here in baltic Scotland we try and take it easy with our channel candidates at the start of the year. :-/
