Guest tom123 Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 just to let race controllors know that the welsh south east combine are liberating sunday at maidstone in kent next week liberating sunday at ramsgate
chichichi Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 bloody awful decision.. weather awful for sunday.. this is sunday from the bbc weather site,, I hope they are wrong.. ant
chichichi Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 yip its changing all the time,, but london having rain whatever... we will only be sending a few now ant
Guest shadow Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 if the weather is bad it will be a late lib as the site at maidstone is in a dip and takes a while to clear
chichichi Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 met office for 1pm.. lets hope they are wrong.. blue = rain ..pink = heavy rain.. fingers crossed.. goodluck all sending ant
Guest chrisss Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 i live 30 miles north of london and the forcastfor sunday looks like a nightmare good luck
pjc Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 most likely be racing monday rather than sunday!
flighty hen Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 most likely be racing monday rather than sunday! Here we go again! another wash out
chichichi Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 update on weather,,, sunday monday tuesday my prediction is they will go at about 1pm on sunday.. maybe be 2pm.. but we do find we always struggle with a late liberation.. have a good race ant
pjc Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Thursday race then! Flighty, you just keep rubbing on the sun tan oil
Guest strapper Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 i just hope now the races aint pushed further on again..and only leave one comeback.
chichichi Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 lol,, 1 comeback ,, we have 20 later bred ones here and they are now having 1 race instead of 3,, south looking a better option for next year.. we'll see.. goodluck to the members sending tomorrow.. fingers crossed we get a race on sunday,, and its a good one,, gambling with young ones isn't on.. lovely weather tomorrow.. goodluck ant
Geraint Parry Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 Any lib after sunday, winners could be in the north.
Guest strapper Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 welsh north road 2 comebacks... newbury after lilliers.
chichichi Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 strapper we all got a race after lillers,, we have swindon,, but you must have 2 after lillers.. bit late I think for the young birds.. there should have been comeback in between every national.. that way any injured birds could have gone and also latebred will have had races earlier in the season.. I will predict that the winner will be in bargoed,, wind south at race point and only south west when into wales.. north wales need south west all the way to have a great advantage,, I expect a lib on sunday.. but some empty perches due to thunder ant
chichichi Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 phil we got 45 to send,, all darkness and bouncing,, but will only send about 15 to 20.. lets hope they have a chance to get home .. these birds will be kept for lillers or eastbourne on the south then.. the rest will get ramsgate and swindon.. fingers crossed for a bit of freak wind to get rid of the weather as early as possible on sunday,, ant
pjc Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 The youngbird programme is poor this year, it hasn't given anybody the chance to get latter birds or injured birds back into the programme.
Guest strapper Posted August 29, 2008 Report Posted August 29, 2008 if i had a large team of oldbirds left i would have got rid of my youngbirds ..but have to soldier on and race the last two comebacks..not much experience but ive no choice.
chichichi Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 update on the weather for sunday,, its now looking better for maidstone,, but the birds will hit thundery shower on the way home,, I now expect an early liberation,, but get your brollies out for the clocking,, sunday 10am,, sunday 1pm. sunday 4pm looks like the gamble might have paid off.. but with thunder on route who knows.. goodluck ant
flighty hen Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Thursday race then! Flighty, you just keep rubbing on the sun tan oil Oh no problem, I'll be doing that sooner than you think, approx 4 weeks,
chichichi Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 right then update on weather,, the rain has come later than expected.. so I expect for an early lib,, but the birds will get very wet at the home end.. goodluck ant
