What do you all do with regards to preparation of your pigeons for pairing up, especially stock birds - say for the last month before your pairing date.

 

Such as :

 

1 - medication

2 - Feed

3 - Supplements

4 - Putting the cock & hen together a few times in the lead up to pairing.

 

Plus any other things you do to spark them into life for breeding

meds treat for cacer worms cocci and para

 

feed i have mine cut down on barely wil only start to build them up a week before pairing i find thers no need to do it eariler as it put on weight am actually thinking of going on a hevier feed later

 

supplements well of course the norm mine get fresh grit and minerals every day 360 days of year but a month before they get extra calcuim supplement and also baby powder i feed as well as a good miti vit  

 

yes i pair them before as this causes less hardship also i think u get the eggs laid togeather

I dont do a lot really, reduce the barley in their feed and let them out a few times a week. If alls well the hens let you know.
