Found it does help Dave twinned with a heavy training schedule. Found that I lost a greater % of cocks sitting though.

agree with tony , but if their not on darkness and you try and hold the moult at this time, they might be worse off for the later races, off course it also depends on when theve been bred, if their old enough to lay, they would probably have body moulted before the longer races

just remember that they are only y/bs for a few races then old birds the rest of their lives. You should be trying to build a team of old birds that can compete every week for 10-12 weeks.
