The chocolates dont fly any distance at all mate, the majority of them are just novalty pigeons (crap). If you want Meulemans go for the nice pencils etc because most of the chocolates just take up loft space.

Saying all that the Meuleman strain is a very good one and they wouldnt be a bad road to go down.

HAVE TO AGREE WITH SWILCOX ON THIS ONE BECAUSE I HAD A PAIR OF CHOCOLATE MEULMANS AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY YOUNG ONES OF THEM THAT EVER GOT TO THE YEARLING STAGE AND I DID LOOSE THE HEN AT 140 MILES AND I ONLY KEEP THE COCK BECAUSE HE IS PAIRED TO THE BEST RACING HEN I HAVE AND WHEN I EVENTUALLY LOOSE THIS HEN THE COCK WILL NO LONGER BE HERE AND IT'S NO GOOD SOMEBODY SAYING PUT THE HEN TO STOCK BECAUSE THE YOUNG BIRDS THAT COME OFF THE HEN NEVER GET PAST THE FIRST COUPLE OF YOUNG BIRD RACES

Snowy, best thing you can do is get them from the best source and try them!! theres good and bad in any colour/breed, i started with 64 ybs this year got 11 left after yesterday!! and still got my 2 choc meulemans! bred from louella stock i bought last winter, so they cant be that bad!! all bad races in 1 way or another, and back on the day!! will breed you a couple next year if ya like mate? ;)
