Hi,

Just wonder what your guys opinion is on Barkels theory on, not pair to 2 full adoptation eyes to each other? Or than you must pair a 100% to a Clear?

The hen has the better breeding eye than the cock the cok has a good racing eye ....but it's only one part of the bird, the rest must be sound as well.

They are nice eyes,

But if your using Jack Barkels method you would never pair two white eyes together. You should put a white eye with a yellow. I like the cocks eye best myself.

The hen is a delbar/horeman bird and it won 2 club 1st as a YB, 1st club yearling, 2nd combine as a YB, also 2nd combine as a yearling, 1st club, and 3x top ten as a 2 yr old.

The cock is a Janseen/trenton cock that won our combine auction race as a YB, flew 500 miles on the day as a 2 yr old with 7 day birds, bred a 8th place combine auction bird, and bred a futurity 4th place bird.

as told to me ; hold the bird with beak towards tyou and look into eye from that angle with light showing on the eye and look for the red area as in normal pigeon eye,it should give you some indication of what it shows !!!

if the red portion is craggy or very rough surfaced, then you got some good or excellant pigeons !!!  this is only an indication, but, can point you in the right direction !!!
