Guest slugmonkey Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I belive the results are now final I have a bird that is #3 Marathon Triple Crown this bird qualified in ALL 5 A.U. National Ace categories he is # 112 Middle Dist Ace 1500+ birds, #39 Long Distance Ace 394 birds, #40 Marathon Distance Ace 309 birds qualified, and #18 All Distance Ace 1067 birds Qualified This bird won 3 races and 9 diplomas in 10 races it is bred from a son of Tristar bred to a hen I bred from Koopman / Veenstra lines I belive there are less than 10 birds that qualified in all 5 categories and I think this one is qualified highest NOT FOR SALE lol The grandfather of the Koop/veen hen is bred from Terminator/Kannibal lines and is qualified to be a Registered Elite A.U. Champion this bird came from 600 in a smash with only 9 of over 500 reported on day 3
Guest shadow Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 all the results published and the birdage is not very high a lot of english fed's send many more bird than that it may be a good bird in your area but may not hold a candle to belgium champions or english ones your systems are so different
Merlin Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Congratulations Slugmonkey, a bit special this one, well done.
Guest slugmonkey Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 These are NATIONAL rankings the birdage is birds that are QUALIFIED in the national categories in other words around the top 3% of ALL U.S. Pigeons. Out of ALL the birds raced in the whole U.S. less than 10 qualified in all 5 categories these categories are based on UPR ratings or the same thing that the Belgiums base their rankings on ANY Given category may have had HUNDREDS of thousands of birds flying for it these numbers represent the number of birds that were qualified for that particular achivement For instance the All Distance Ace has to fly 4 races one under 250 miles one over 450 miles with 1200+ miles having to have been flown in ALL old bird racing this year there were 1067 birds that qualified my bird was #18, 18th of is a 3% or better finish of the birds that qualified but how many birds werent capable of pulling the numbers to even be eligibile for the award much less finish at the top of it ? P.S. you may want to check the linnage and country of origin of Kannibal, Terminator, and Tri- Star as Well As C&G Koopman
ALF Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 all the results published and the birdage is not very high a lot of english fed's send many more bird than that it may be a good bird in your area but may not hold a candle to belgium champions or english ones your systems are so different I've thought the same for a long time now ;)
Guest slugmonkey Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Everyone places so much emphasis on Belgium Ace pigeons ( WHZB ) but where do most of these birds wind up ??? they usally dont stay in Belgium long

Guest slugmonkey Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 To say this isnt against much birdage demonstrates complete ignorance of how the ranking system works Mate
Guest slugmonkey Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 P.S. Our birds are consistently finishing top 5% in 2000 - 4000 bird races with 150+ lofts competing
ALF Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I think you'll find that a lot of us guys dont like to see fanciers blowing their own trumpets over here mate : :
Guest chrisss Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 To say this isnt against much birdage demonstrates complete ignorance of how the ranking system works Mate or to be fair how little we care?,your results are great [by your system of working it out]over here a lot of "guys" don't care for the "look i am great" way of things, in saying all of that its still good flying regardless well done
