Guest spin cycle Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 so far this week i've had a couple of ybs 'work back' from races 2-3 weeks ago. with the cornfields cut and plenty of puddles perhaps we can all look foward to more home. perhaps losses won't be so bad (ok) lets try a good 'vibe' for a change(bunny)
OLDYELLOW Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 gave my birds a toss today i liberated mine over the hedge and around 20 race birds went up after them out of the barley field , still plenty of spillage on fields and these didnt look like they be going home any sooner
OLDYELLOW Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 but i have had 2 returned that were lossed at first race , obviously been tossed closer to home
frank-123 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 one back from eastbourne today in better nick than i sent it :-/ rubber removed
frank-123 Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 never slept out before so i think it deserves a chance bit soft i know
Ronnie Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i had a youngster back today from two weeks ago covered in mud and race rubber still intact apart from the muddy feet it was in great condition.
Guest chrisss Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 i lost 20 out of 30 on their second toss that done me in for the season, since then i have had 5 turn up in various state of disrepair one was so far gone he could not get up to go through the trap and i had to open the door for him [he is fine now]another one had a red wattle from the rain etc,i wish birds could talk,as some times they are so thin you could shave on their keels, iam always amazed how they can get home if they want/can do
Guest spin cycle Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 i havn't raced for about 3 weeks but during this time 4 more ybs from earlier races have worked back. i'm also getting a stray a day in .(dizzy)
