Ronnie Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 Just received the results of the middlewich two bird breeder buyer. My bird came in 5th place winning 60 pounds for me and 60 pounds for m/m p.Foy while i am really pleased with the result and really pleased with the bird in general a credit to mr Foy.The bitter part is that the bloody bird sat on the shed for over 15min's only coming in after i climbed on the shed roof. Still thats down to my management lol all in all a good result.
joe61 Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 if it was there to win the race dont worry the bird will win races oh happy days

Guest slugmonkey Posted September 24, 2008 Report Posted September 24, 2008 I have a hen that has been sitting on the loft upon return the first week she sat about 3 minutes and then didn't scan when she trapped so I had to catch her and scan her she got 4th and another bird trapped in and won it for me this bird was 1 minute out this week she sat 4 minutes and still won by 12 + minutes several of my best birds have sat like this I had one that was equal 1st on 4 races even though he was consistently 5 minutes in front This is one of the little things that make up racing, in Florida where we race a bird loses about 40 positions every time he circles the loft it is DAMM frustrating !!!

Hi Sluggy. Yes but did the winning bird also sit on the loft? If we could only enter the mind of a bird returning from a race!!!
