Guest monkeynuts71 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 some lovelly pigeons kirky. i like the last picture of the 5x1st pigeon, cracking pigeon but the rest look great too. nice lofts aswell. some nice kenyons aswell. i know kirkpatricks are good honest pigeons thats why im trying to aquire some. they were raced well by A hills into this part of the country i believe. Are the birds from mr dukes advert old birds or youngbirds spin cycle?

Are the birds from mr dukes advert old birds or youngbirds spin cycle? all stock came from louella stud in the early 90s oldyellow bought the best, i got them from him, i have added to them over the years but it is hard to find them from racing lofts, as thay have to fly well to stay in loft. my breed is now made up of kenyon/kirkys/sion/logan, trying a pair jos thone grizzles this year.
Guest monkeynuts71 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 good old strains. the problem is when they are forsale they are soon snapped up they seem to be as popular as many of the new strains. its nice to have a bit of colour that does well in the loft

OLDYELLOW Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 i sent a yellow kirkpatrick with a dash of jan aarden to the rpra one loft race this year and ive just looked at the web site for the one loft race and there is a picture of a yellow pigeon sitting with some blues and under it they have wrote " spot the odd one out" i wonder if it is my one lol kirkpatricks would be nigh on useless at a one loft race unless it was over 360 miles or a yearling 500 mile one loft race
kraftykev Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 well watch this space, i have faith in my birds. even the yellow one lol
OLDYELLOW Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 well watch this space, i have faith in my birds. even the yellow one lol best my yellow did was 1st Bourge 512 miles only bird on day , 2nd Bourge 512 mile , 2 x 6th Clermont 352 mile , 2 x 6ths 420 mile Jouey le chatel only once came 4th in a sprint race from wanstead flats :-/ forgot to add he was retired after he was a 2 year old
OLDYELLOW Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 my birds are good from 80 to 550 miles i have won from 86 miles to 512 miles wouldnt get a kirky to beat other strains i've had at sprint races
kraftykev Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 pedigree of the sire of my yellow rpra 2009 one loft baby is

OLDYELLOW Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 ok i will give you that one, do you think the rpra will give me a refund on my five kirkpatricks that i have sent lol nope they wont just pray for north winds then you might get a bit of luck
OLDYELLOW Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 my Old Yellow cock is decended from the yellow amber lines and red rogue most of the yellows wouldnt get by first race point 'Old yellow' was the only exception , breeding yellows from yellows can have undesired effects i.e albinos and small eyes
